Crit is provided by IDYeah Studio LLC. This page describes the information involved when you use Crit and the services that help us operate it.

The short version

• Your submitted work and context are sent to our service and AI provider to generate a critique.
• Generated reports and critique history are saved locally on your device. Account sign-in does not provide cross-device report synchronization.
• Apple handles subscription payments. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
• We do not promise zero retention by every service involved. Provider retention follows the applicable terms and configuration.

Content you submit

Depending on the critique type, you submit a design image, PDF content, and contextual answers about its purpose and audience. For a resume critique, this may include the target role and a job description. Our service sends the content needed for the critique to Anthropic’s API to generate feedback.

A resume or project file can contain personal or confidential information. Include only content you have the right to share and that is necessary for the critique. AI output can contain errors; review it before relying on or sharing it.

Reports on your device

Crit saves generated report content, scores, dates, and related history locally so you can return to your critiques. Local information may be included in device backups according to your device and backup settings. You can delete saved reports in the app. An account does not currently synchronize reports between devices.

Account and subscription information

If you sign in with Apple, Supabase receives the account identifier and email address Apple supplies, including a private relay address if you choose it. We also save the name Apple provides to your account. Sign-in is optional. Crit creates a separate service identifier to manage your free allowance and subscription access; it remains in use when you sign out of an optional account.

RevenueCat processes customer identifiers, purchase and subscription history, and technical information needed for subscription services, including the device identifier supplied by its SDK. Apple handles subscription billing; Crit does not receive your payment-card details.

We do not receive or store your full payment-card information. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account settings.

Service processing and retention

Our backend processes submitted content to return a critique. Hosting, security, account, and AI services may retain operational records under their own terms and the configurations that apply to our service. Anthropic’s retention rules can vary by product and agreement. See Anthropic’s commercial data retention information. We do not make a blanket claim that all submitted information is immediately deleted or that a particular zero-retention agreement applies.

Crit retains service identifiers and free-allowance records for up to 400 days after a session refresh. Request status and retry metadata normally expire after one day. Generated results are held temporarily in memory to support retries; replay is available for ten minutes, with expired entries removed during cache cleanup. Uploaded source files are not written to the backend’s durable state store by this processing flow. This does not override retention by our AI or hosting providers.

Service providers include Anthropic, Supabase, RevenueCat, and Apple. Their policies explain their respective practices.

Website and product measurement

Optional app usage events help us understand features such as samples, completed critiques, revision reviews, and exports. Sharing these events is off by default and can be changed in Settings. They exclude uploaded content, filenames, resume details, report text, names, and email addresses. Events may be linked to a pseudonymous service identifier; they are not guaranteed to be anonymous. They may include a bounded failure category or request duration. When enabled, our event store retains them for 30 days by default, with a configurable maximum of 90 days.

Essential allowance, subscription, retry, abuse-prevention, and aggregate service-performance records are separate from optional usage events. Turning off usage sharing does not disable these records. We use a rotating keyed hash of the request’s IP address to limit abusive traffic; hosting services may also process standard request information.

Website events, when enabled, record page views, sample views, and App Store clicks using limited page and campaign categories. The website script sends no user or device identifier and uses no advertising cookies. It respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Website event collection is controlled by deployment configuration.

Support messages

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include so we can respond. Avoid sending confidential project files, payment details, or sensitive personal information in a support email.

Your choices

You can remove locally saved reports in the app. Delete Account in Settings removes your optional account and its local history, and removes usage events associated with the current service identifier. The independent subscription identifier and used free allowance remain so account deletion does not reset purchases or usage. Account deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription; cancel it separately in Apple settings.

Contact us for help with broader data requests. Deleting an account does not automatically erase transaction, operational, or AI-processing records held by every provider. Those records remain subject to the applicable obligations and retention terms.

Children

Crit is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Crit, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
